Terms of use
The rules for using this site, what our content is (general information), and what it is not (travel services).
Last updated: July 10, 2026. This page applies to samtravelchick.com and to no other website.
1. Agreement
These terms of use govern access to samtravelchick.com (“the site”), published by Sam Travel Chick of 1 S Pinckney Street, Suite 410, Madison, WI 53703 (“we,” “us”). By using the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the site. We may update the terms by posting a revised version here with a new date — continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
2. What the site is — and is not
The site is an editorial publication: essays, guides, and practical systems about travel logistics. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, ticket seller, booking service, or price-comparison tool, and nothing on it constitutes an offer to sell travel services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any airline, railway, airport, or booking platform, and we do not name or review such companies.
3. Editorial content is general information
Our stories describe systems, timings, statistics, and practices that were accurate to the best of our knowledge at publication and are provided for general information only. Travel conditions change: schedules shift, rules are rewritten, prices move, and what worked for one traveler may not suit another. Before acting on anything you read here — particularly anything involving visas, security rules, health guidance, or connection times — verify the current facts with the relevant official source. Your travel decisions, and their outcomes, remain your own.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the site — text, images, graphics, page design, and the Sam Travel Chick name and logo — is our property or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, link to, quote briefly with attribution, and share links to our stories freely. You may not republish articles in full, scrape the site for content or training data, use our images elsewhere, or present our content as your own, without prior written permission via the contact page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to breach its security, no automated bulk access that degrades service, no submitting unlawful, defamatory, or malicious material through the forms, and no using the forms to send spam. We may restrict access to protect the site and its readers.
6. Third-party links
Stories link to external resources — chiefly official government and institutional sources in the source notes. Those sites are not under our control; a link is a factual reference, not an endorsement of everything the destination contains, and their terms and privacy practices are their own.
7. Advertising
The site may display third-party advertising, clearly distinguished from editorial content as described in our advertising disclosure. Advertisements are the responsibility of the advertiser; their appearance here is not our endorsement of the advertised product or service.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content — including missed flights, disrupted trips, or costs incurred acting on information published here. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the site, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them or from use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Dane County, Wisconsin, and each party consents to that venue.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: hello@samtravelchick.com, or by mail to 1 S Pinckney Street, Suite 410, Madison, WI 53703.
